1. Who’s responsible for your data

OBcoaching is the trading name of Oliver Blackwell, a self-employed personal trainer based in the West Midlands, England. We are the “data controller” for the personal information you give us.

If you have any questions about your data or want to exercise your rights, email ollieb@obcoaching.co.uk.

2. What we collect

When you contact us, book a free session, request our free guide, take the quiz, or sign up for coaching, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, your availability, your quiz answers, and any notes you choose to share.

To coach you safely we may also collect health and fitness information you give us — for example your goals, injuries, conditions or medication. This is sensitive information, and we only collect it with your consent and use it solely to deliver your coaching safely.

When you pay, your card details are handled directly by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

3. How and why we use it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, to deliver the sessions, plans and coaching you’ve asked for, to take payment, and — where you’ve opted in — to send you our free guide and occasional helpful emails.

Our lawful bases are: performing our contract with you (delivering services you’ve bought), your consent (marketing emails and any health information you share), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and complying with our legal obligations.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by emailing us, and you can withdraw consent for us to hold your health information at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us run OBcoaching: Supabase (secure database hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending emails) and Vercel (website hosting).

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information only for as long as we need it — to provide your coaching, to keep proper business and tax records, and to handle any follow-up. When we no longer need it, we delete it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see your rights below).

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, just email ollieb@obcoaching.co.uk.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only the essential cookies needed to make it work and keep it secure. We don’t use cookies to track you across other websites for advertising.
